During the 13th round of Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) in New Delhi, India and the Netherlands reaffirmed their commitment to deepen cooperation across science and technologies — with a renewed focus on green hydrogen, critical tech, and trade ties. The talks were led by Secretary (West) Sibi George and Dutch Secretary-General Christiaan Rebergen.
Both sides welcomed intensified engagement at the highest political level. Notably, the talks follow a recent meeting between the two nations’ prime ministers during the G20 Summit. The agenda covered cooperation in hydrogen research and deployment, semiconductors, AI, shipping, defence and sustainable technologies.
The renewed focus seeks to leverage the Netherlands’ advanced hydrogen ecosystem and India’s growing ambitions under its national hydrogen mission, aiming to foster joint R&D, technology sharing and trade flows. Officials from both countries said they hoped the collaboration would add strategic depth to bilateral ties, especially in clean energy, trade and climate-tech domains.
