LONGi Hydrogen has won the tender for Sinopec’s Uxin Banner Integrated Wind–Solar–Hydrogen Production Project after ranking first in the comprehensive evaluation. The contract covers the supply of 24 sets of 1000 Nm³/h alkaline electrolysers, marking another major achievement for the company in China’s fast growing green hydrogen sector.
The win follows LONGi Hydrogen’s earlier collaboration with Sinopec on the Kuqa Green Hydrogen Project. Securing a second landmark partnership reinforces the company’s position as a trusted supplier of water electrolysis equipment supported by strong technical performance and consistent delivery. The result also highlights Sinopec’s continued confidence in LONGi Hydrogen’s capability to provide reliable large scale hydrogen solutions.
30,000 tonnes production planned
Designed to produce 30,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year the Uxin Banner project will include the installation of 48 new 1000 Nm³/h alkaline electrolysers. This makes it one of the largest single procurement orders for alkaline electrolysers in China. The green hydrogen generated will be supplied to Zhongtian Hechuang Energy Co Ltd to support its drive for low carbon transformation and green upgrading across the coal to olefins industrial chain. Alongside the Sinopec Kuqa Green Hydrogen Demonstration Project this development has been listed in the first batch of hydrogen pilot projects released by the National Energy Administration establishing it as a benchmark for industrial scale green hydrogen application.
The evaluation process for the tender was highly competitive and technically demanding. It assessed a wide range of criteria including technical capability product performance engineering experience contract execution and service support. LONGi Hydrogen achieved the highest overall score due to its strengths in equipment reliability system safety and stable long term operation. The result underlines the company’s comprehensive competitiveness and reinforces client confidence in its ability to deliver large scale high performance hydrogen solutions.
As one of the most significant wind–solar–hydrogen integration projects in China the Uxin Banner development demonstrates the growing scale of national green hydrogen ambitions. LONGi Hydrogen’s successful bid represents a key step in advancing renewable hydrogen adoption across heavy industry and energy intensive value chains.
