At World Hydrogen Week 2025, LONGi Hydrogen introduced two major innovations — LONGi HyBlock and LONGi HySmart — marking a breakthrough in large-scale green hydrogen deployment. Together, these solutions represent a fully integrated approach to equipment design, modular system architecture, and intelligent operations and maintenance, reinforcing the company’s commitment to advancing renewable hydrogen technology.

Since its inception in 2021, LONGi Hydrogen has achieved more than 500 MW in cumulative global orders, with a presence across 10 countries and regions. The company’s experience spans pilot demonstrations to commercial-scale projects, enabling it to address the evolving technical and economic challenges faced by the green hydrogen industry.

As the sector transitions toward large-scale applications, developers are facing increasing pressure on both capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational expenditure (OPEX). High equipment investment, complex system integration, and escalating energy and maintenance costs continue to challenge the pace of hydrogen adoption. LONGi Hydrogen’s new innovations — HyBlock and HySmart — provide an integrated, cost-effective response to these market demands.

LONGi HyBlock is an outdoor modular solution designed for projects ranging from hundred-megawatt to gigawatt scale. Moving away from traditional indoor configurations, it applies value-engineering principles to ensure electrolyser systems perform reliably under diverse outdoor conditions. The modular design shifts complex system integration from on-site construction to factory-based prefabrication, reducing on-site workload and simplifying project delivery. This results in faster installation, greater management efficiency, and improved cost-effectiveness.

By combining standardisation and prefabrication, HyBlock can deliver up to 35% savings in CAPEX and a 40% reduction in lead time, while lowering installation work by approximately 65%. The system also reduces project uncertainty, enhances parallel efficiency, and minimises the number of interfaces — streamlining decision-making from concept to commissioning. Engineered for all-climate deployment, HyBlock supports stable operation in a variety of environments, from high-temperature regions to humid coastal areas.

LONGi HySmart complements this innovation by enabling continuous OPEX optimization through digitalised and intelligent operation and maintenance.
