Ahmedabad-based Oswal Energies will invest Rs 320 crore over the next two years to establish facilities for the production, storage, and transportation of green hydrogen. The company has partnered with Greenzo Energy for the manufacturing and supply of electrolysers in India and with UK-based Sinclair for advanced storage and transport systems.
According to Oswal Energies, the partnership combining local and international expertise will support the supply of hydrogen to major industries. As part of the plan, a 20 MW green hydrogen plant will be set up in Gujarat within the next 12–15 months. In addition, the company intends to establish hydrogen plants with capacities ranging from 0.5 MW to 5 MW under a Build-Operate-Transfer model over the next 12–18 months. Work has already commenced with the delivery of a 1 MW electrolyser stack.
The investment reflects Oswal Energies’ commitment to building clean energy infrastructure aligned with India’s green hydrogen goals. “By combining local manufacturing with global technology, we want to contribute to India’s target of becoming a hub for green hydrogen,” the company said in a statement.
The project is expected to primarily benefit the chemical and fertiliser industries, which are seeking to transition towards cleaner energy sources. With technology for electrolysis and reliable storage and transport systems, Oswal Energies aims to create an integrated hydrogen supply chain.
Founded in 2013, the company operates in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) sector and has executed more than 250 projects across Asia, Europe, and Africa. Its clientele includes leading firms such as Shell, ExxonMobil, ONGC, Linde, and Cairn Oil & Gas.
