TKIL Industries (formerly thyssenkrupp Industries India) has announced a strategic partnership with Germany’s 2G Energy International to introduce advanced combined heat and power (CHP) plant and gas engine solutions in India. The collaboration aims to strengthen 2G Energy’s footprint in the country while positioning TKIL Industries as a gateway to hydrogen-ready CHP systems that support India’s clean energy transition.

According to TKIL Industries, “This collaboration will strengthen 2G Energy’s presence in India and position TKIL Industries as the gateway to cutting-edge hydrogen-ready CHPs and gas engines for power generation, enabling Indian industries to accelerate their clean energy transition.”

With efficiencies reaching up to 98% and compatibility with a wide range of fuels — including biogas, natural gas, flare gas, syngas, and even 100% hydrogen — 2G Energy’s CHP systems are designed to drive industrial decarbonisation. By harnessing waste heat recovery during power generation, these systems minimise energy losses, making them ideal for India’s energy-intensive sectors such as cement, sugar, steel, and paper.
